love days off

so the Dr. I work for is taking a 4 day weekend to go see his mom in Idaho.   So I have a 4 day weekend!  Miss out out some pay, but the time off is nice.  I got so much stuff done this morning before 10am, than I have in a very long time! 

I had my own Dr. appt.  Follow up for my IUD, talked about getting tested for sleep apnea, talked about my thyroid and blood pressure.  I have my consult for my sleep apnea Sept. 17th....so will keep ya informed on that.  I get new blood work in about 3 weeks, to see how my thyroid is doing.

On a good note...I will start seeing a personal trainer at the gym in a couple of weeks.  I will have to go at 6am, but it will be worth it.  Hoping with her help, getting my thyroid and sleep apnea under control...maybe finally I can get some results!

Wow...storms today

woke up this morning to the sound of some loud thunder...massive storm came through around 5am.  Scott had already left for work, so Kat came in my room to cuddle up in bed...then of course Cody(dog) felt left out, so he joined us also!  It was lightening and thundering like crazy!  It cleared up before I had to go to work.  Then this afternoon, more storms moved in..even with a tornado warning!  When I got off work, it start pelting down as soon as I got in my car.  So, rain rain rain on my way home.  It was so fierce, that the wind was blowing the rain and puddles I drove through, sideways across the car including the windshield, so had to drive like 10mph.  Made it home safe and sound, and within minutes it was over.  They may have been short storms,  but they were torrential!

Work was good...we al took the doctor out to lunch for his birthday.  One of Scott's co-workers is staying with us tonight due to having to work here in town super early!  They were suppose to go play softball up in Hagerstown tonight, but that got cancelled.  I had no plans for dinner, so had to throw something together .  Garlic shrimp in pasta, garlic bread, and some veggies.

Short day of work tomorrow...then I have a candle party here at the house tomorrow night!

Just another day

Had a good day today...easy day at work, got out early.  Had appt. at chiropractor, felt great since it had been over 3 weeks since I been due to vacation.

Speaking of vacation...went to Texas and Colorado to see friends and family, after moving 3 years ago.  It was alot of fun. Katherine was in Texas for 2 weeks before I go there, spending time with my parents.  Dad bought a boat this year, so time at the lake just got better!

Hello out there!

so, this is the first time I have blogged.  I am a 38 year old woman who loves her life!

I have been married to hubby Scott for over 16 years. We have an 11 year old daughter, Katherine....who is going on 18!  We also have a 5 year old male beagle names Cody.  We are a military family and lived in many places.  Currently in Maryland

I am a dental assistant, and am new at it.  I went to Kaplan College from Jan 2008-Dec 2008. Put out applications and got hired in my current job, Feb 2009.  I love it and so glad I finally have a career that helps support my family and gives me great hours!
